STASH PICK

STASH PICK

The Story of Pick

In mid 2002 four friends got together for lunch and an idea emerged to create an innovative guitar pick. This pick came to be known as the "Wicked Pick". From this idea the brainstorming exploded into 4 more innovative picks called: the "Double", the "Fat Boy", the "Tri-Tip", and the "Diamond Back". Since most picks get lost in the pants pocket it was felt that "stashing" the picks in a mini storage tin would help prevent players from losing their picks. The four of us set up shop in a garage to assemble what is now STASH PICKS. Each tin was packed with 10 picks (2 of each type).

With only 200 assembled tins in hand we walked around the 2003 winter NAMM show to get feedback from players and retailers. Although the response was overwhelming, new products are difficult to sell, so skepticism was high. The buyer from Sam Ash felt we had something special and kept in close communication. Needless to say we are now in all 40 Sam Ash Music Stores and sales are remarkable. This prompted us to get a booth at the 2004 Winter NAMM show. The response from the show was tremendous adding more and more retail shops across the US and Canada. What makes STASH PICKS so special?

  • The ‘Diamond Back’ gives the versatility of dual gauges in one pick but preserves the looks and feel of a traditional style pick. It’s heavy on one side for fast soloing and medium on the other side for funky rhythms.

  • The ‘Double Pick’ has the unique feature of double striking the the string giving your 6 string a 12 string like quality. You can also use it on power chords for deep crunch. Squeeze the ends together to achieve those sought after harmonics. Try Doing this with your reguler flat pick.

  • The ‘Trip-Tip’ shape, traditional in design, is equipped with a different gauge at each tip for changing sound on the fly. Unlike the ‘Fat Boy’ the tips are more pointed for greather flexibility.

  • The ‘Wicked Pic’ with its unequaled shape gives a more powerful sound without the thick feel of a reguler pick..Alittle twist of the wrist gives total control of the double strike timing to obtain that wicked sound.

  • The ‘Fat Boy’ is our largest pick. Each edge has a different gauge so you no longer need
