The result is the ultimate guitar for classical players that require amplified sound.

GODIN | Montreal

Every year for two weeks in July, the city of Montreal is transformed into the worlds largest Jazz club. Montreal is a great city, and it becomes that much cooler during the Jazz Festival. Montreal’s love affair with jazz was the inspiration for Godin’s latest guitar, which is—fittingly—named, Montreal. The Montreal is the latest in a series of two-voiced guitars from Godin that marry the electric sound from traditional magnetic pickups with the acoustic sound from saddle transducers in the bridge. The two-chamber body of the Montreal is carved from a solid block of Mahogany and capped with a carved solid mahogany top adorned with two F-holes and cream binding. The 22-fret, 24 ¾ scale, neck is also fashioned from mahogany, and shaped for exceptional comfort by means of Godin’s ergocut technique.

Hardware is black and gold including, two Godin humbuckers, a bridge loaded with L.R.Baggs transducer saddles, and an on-board preamp EQ. The two humbucking pickups produce an extensive range of sounds thanks to a special 5-way switch that provides five distinct tones on its own. Add in the bridge transducers and the palette of sounds becomes infinite. The two outputs are set up so that the electric and acoustic voices can be blended in the guitar using a single patch cord or at the amp/mixer using both outputs. Jazz and Blues players will love the way this guitar sounds and feels. The city of Montreal should also be pleased, as this guitar is as cool as its namesake.

  • Scale - 24 ¾
  • Electronics - 2 X Godin humbuckers plus and LR Baggs bridge transducers and custom PreAmp

Godin A6 Ultra Black HG

The A6 Ultra semi-acoustic with high-gloss finish continues with the innovative concepts found in all Godin A-series guitars, such as combining plugged-in acoustic sound with the feel of an electric neck, along with a chambered body design that virtually eliminates feedback in live & loud settings. These features stand true and better than ever in the A6 Ultra with the added "oomph" and full tone of a Godin humbucker in the neck position, along with an under-saddle transducer, dual outputs (acoustic and electric) that combine for a huge stereo sound and a Custom Godin preamp section voiced specifically for the A6 Ultra. This preamp section gives a player the chance to control their tone via sliders for acoustic volume, treble, mid, bass and independent controls for the electric humbucker volume, treble and bass.

Whether plugging into the single acoustic mix or in stereo (via both outputs), controlling your tone is at the tip of your fingers. And the A6 Ultra guitar delivers in all styles of music from jazz to rock to country and not to mention a great blues slide guitar.

Other features on the Godin guitar include a solid cedar top, a two-chambered silver leaf maple body, high-gloss finish, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, and the comfortable feel of an ergocut.

GODIN | ACS-SA Slim Black Pearl

ACS-SA Slim

The 'Slim' in the moniker refers to the 1.715" neck width at the nut, which is a mere 16th of an inch wider than our standard electric guitar nut width. If you do most of your playing on a guitar with a fairly narrow neck (most solid body electric guitars) this is the ACS-SA for you. The slim neck of this guitar along with our Ergocut shaping technique and 16" fingerboard radius provide for a very easy transition for steel string guitar players looking to integrate nylon string guitar sounds into their music. Aside from the new neck, the ACS-SA Slim shares all of the same features that have made the ACS-SA an industry standard. The chambered, silverleaf maple body with hard maple top results in an instrument that is virtually free of feedback, making it easy to use even in loud stage situations.

GODIN | Detour Black Pearl RN

The Detour adds another double cutaway solid-body to Godin’s growing roster of Performance Series guitars. The short-scale (24 ¾”), rock maple, neck provides both easy string bending and a comfortable, compact feel. A block of Silver-Leaf Maple provides a solid anchor point for the bridge and neck with balance provided by light Poplar wings on each side of the body. Maximum neck/body resonance is further assured by the super-tight neck pocket, which is masked prior to finishing to make sure that there is no paint or finish residue left to impede a perfect wood-on-wood connection. Strings pass through a brass plate in the back of the guitar and through the body for maximum sustain. All of this exceptional resonance is captured by two Godin humbucking pickups.

The neck and body of the Detour are crafted in La Patrie, Quebec and assembled at Godin USA in Berlin, New Hampshire.

Available in, Black Pearl or Red with a high gloss finish as well as Silver with a satin finish. Each Detour comes in a deluxe Godin gig bag.

This combination not only produces ultra comfortable feel and balance, it also delivers big in the sound department. Where many guitars tend to excel specifically for distortion sounds or clean sounds the Exit 22 does it all. Monstrous distortion tones are easily dialed in via the Godin humbucker in the bridge, and stinging clean sounds are also at your fingertips thanks to the Godin Single coil pickups in the neck and middle position. GODIN | Freeway Classic LightBurst

GODIN | Freeway SA B Pearl

Freeway SA

The Freeway Classic became Godin’s most popular model almost immediately following its release. Critics admired the Freeway’s, “expensive custom guitar looks” and “big, balanced sound”. Grabbing the satin-finished, rock maple neck is akin to sliding into your favourite sneakers. But aside from great looks and feel the Freeway scores high marks in the guitar/workhorse department. The hum-single-hum configuration of the Godin pickups produce a broad spectrum of tones, including; big humbucker crunch, wailing Blues, and clean chime-like sounds—to name a few. The Freeway SA (synth access) takes all of the versatility of the Freeway Classic and adds synth/computer access via a built-in 13-pin connector, courtesy of the revolutionary Ghost pickup system installed in the bridge. The Ghost system is made in Canada and uses a proprietary harmonic dampening system that results in superb tracking. Godin’s pioneering designs in guitars with synth access have led the industry and the Freeway continues the tradition establishing new benchmarks for response, ease-of-use and affordability.

Available in Black Pearl, each Freeway SA comes in a deluxe Godin gig bag.

GODIN | Glissentar

In a nutshell, it\'s an eleven string, fretless, acoustic/electric instrument, strung with nylon strings and tuned to standard guitar tuning. More than ever before, musicians are mixing sounds and musical styles from all over the world. This often involves the mixing of Eastern and Western music, such as using a Sitar in a western musical setting or using western instruments to imitate the sounds in eastern music. The Glissentar was inspired by a similar desire to mix elements of East and West, but in this case, in the instrument itself. The Western part of the equation is easy to recognize as a variation on the guitar. All of the instruments basic dimensions, scale length, body size, depth, fingerboard radius, and string height, are fairly standard for acoustic/electric guitars. The Eastern influence in the Glissentar comes from the Oud, an ancestor of the Mandolin that dates back to the seventh century. The Oud is also an eleven-string fretless instrument and is still in use today primarily in Armenia and Egypt. Adapting to this new instrument is actually a great deal easier than it appears. The shape and scale of the neck and the easily visible side position markers help to give the Glissentar a very familiar feel. The Glissentar opens the door to microtonal playing as well as some incredible and unique new sounds for adventurous guitar players.
